These terms and conditions provide detailed information for patients considering cosmetic and medical skin procedures with Cosmedics Skin Clinics, trading as London Mole Removal Centre

1. Consultations

Consultations with our Doctors/Surgeons are chargeable as follows. These costs exclude treatment, which is quoted separately:

  • Doctor/Surgeon Treatments – £75
The fee is paid in advance to secure your appointment. This fee may be deducted from the cost of any treatment carried out on the day. This means in the same appointment as the consultation – where both Doctor/Surgeon and patient agree to go ahead.

Consultation Fee Payment

For all appointments with Doctor/Surgeon, the consultation fee is payable at the point of booking by credit card using a secure payment portal. This is now a booking requirement. The consultation fee will be retained if a client fails to attend the appointment or cancels outside of the cancellation policy time and doesn’t contact us. See below for cancellation policy.

Insurance

Cosmedics Skin Clinics operates on a self-pay basis only. We are not affiliated with or recognised by any private medical insurance providers, health plans or reimbursement schemes.

All consultations and treatments must be paid for by the patient directly. Any reimbursement claim with an insurer is solely the patient’s responsibility, and Cosmedics Skin Clinics accepts no liability for any fees that are declined, refused or not covered by an insurer.

Patients must confirm any potential reimbursement eligibility with both their insurer and Cosmedics Skin Clinics before proceeding with any consultation or treatment. Cosmedics Skin Clinics cannot be held responsible for any reason a claim is subsequently deemed invalid, declined or not reimbursed.

Booking

Bookings for specialist treatments including Upper Blepharoplasty, Thread Lift, Haemorrhoids require a £500 deposit to book the actual treatment appointment following the consultation. 9. Refusal of Treatments

There are several reasons that a doctor may consider that a treatment is not a suitable option for an individual and Cosmedics has a strict patient selection criteria to ensure patients are medically fit to undergo a particular treatment. It is therefore possible that we advise, in your best medical interests, that surgery or treatment is not appropriate. We will also not proceed with a procedure if we feel that your expectations exceed the results achievable from such surgery.

Please note that we do not provide treatments for anyone aged under 18 years.

10. Right to Refuse Treatment / Appointments

The Clinic reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, decline, cancel, or discontinue appointments, consultations, or treatment for any patient where it is reasonably considered appropriate to do so.

This includes, but is not limited to, circumstances where a patient:

  • Repeatedly fails to attend scheduled appointments (DNA) or arrives persistently late
  • Exhibits rude, aggressive, abusive, threatening, or offensive behaviour towards staff, clinicians, or other patients
  • Uses inappropriate, discriminatory, or harassing language
  • Demonstrates behaviour that disrupts clinic operations or compromises the safety, wellbeing, or comfort of others
  • Fails to comply with clinic policies, procedures, or reasonable staff instructions
  • Acts in a manner that, in the professional opinion of the Clinic, may compromise the therapeutic relationship or safe delivery of care

The Clinic may also decline to offer further appointments where there has been a breakdown in trust and confidence between the patient and clinician, or where the Clinic considers that it is not in the patient’s best interests to continue treatment within the Clinic.

Discretion and Non-Discrimination

Any decision to refuse or discontinue treatment will be made fairly and in accordance with applicable laws and professional obligations. The Clinic does not discriminate on the basis of protected characteristics as defined under applicable equality legislation.

Alternative Care

Where appropriate, the Clinic may recommend that the patient seeks care from an alternative provider.

11. Disclaimer

Our aim to to provide a first class service however we cannot guarantee that treatment is possible until the lesion / mole / wart  / verruca has been seen by our doctor; whose individual advice takes precedence over any previous information given.

Only once you have been assessed can we give you a full recommendation on what is your best treatment option. Occasionally that may mean a referral to another specialist whether it by for a different type of laser or for the complexity of the concern.

12. Histology/Testing

We may advise patients to have their cysts sent for histology / testing. We charge the lowest prices possible for histology as we realise patients often feel it is not required, but occasionally rare or suspicious things are detected early on in lesions that can look normal, which is why this is good practice. We make no financial gain from this service.

Histology / testing of the removed skin lesion is mandatory if the Doctor recommends it to ensure there are no abnormalities. The doctor will clarify this at the consultation and may refuse to do the treatment if the client refuses the histology recommendation or else ask the client to sign a document stating they went against the Doctors advice.

Any test results or correspondence will be sent to your email account via an encrypted system called Egress. Should this not be preferable, please let us know at your appointment.

13. Cancellation Policy

We do understand if clients are unwell or have other commitments, but please give us as much notice as possible if you wish to rearrange an appointment. We reserve the right to charge for non-attendance or where cancellation is shorter than our policy. For all doctor appointments we operate a 48 hour cancellation policy with a fee of £75.

Please note, any deposits paid and held on account will expire after 6 months.
